South Florida King "PIC"
Hi everyone,
I just can't help but post pics of this girl. Every time I think she can't get any prettier, she sheds and comes out even nicer!
She's a beautiful pale yellow overall with an orange-tan pattern.
She's still not receptive to the male yet, even though she's just completed her second shed of the season. Maybe she won't go this year. She's 43 inches and darn hefty, so I'd assume she's big enough. I'm not sure how old she is.
Thanks for looking.
Simon

Here's a close-up. Look at that green eye. If you look a couple of scales back from her eye, you'll see a tiny bright orange dot in the middle of the scale. It's the only one on her. I call it her "beauty mark".
Cheers!

That girl doesn't need a beauty mark, awesome looking snake!!!
How did you get her to sit in a tight little circle for the first pic?
Half my time taking pics of mine is spent catching up to them!! LOL

Thanks, Ace!
What I do is put the snake under a bowl thats just big enough for her to fit under. I then leave her under there for a minute or two; get my camera all set, then quickly but gently remove the bowl. The snake should be momentarily startled by the light, which will often give you a chance to snap at least one or two pics before it starts to move. You may need to try this more than once, because sometimes no matter what you do they just don't want to co-operate. Just have a little patience and you'll get great results.
I hope that this helps.

Thanks Vanan!
Hey, at the last Toronto show I was at, some guy had an adult "normal" brooksi which was actually a pale, flourescent lime-green. I would have bought it, except that it was a male. Looking back, I should have grabbed it; it was really neat! I've yet to see one that colour.

Green? What? Green! That must have been a beauty! I love hypos. I love how they're all just a little bit different. I wish I had a good camera so I could share pics of mine. Simon I'm beginning to think we both have identical tastes in snakes. Do you have the Goini's phase? I am almost afraid to ask !

Hey Tim. It was Katt's Goini's. She posted pics of them in some other thread.
