Hey Everyone ~ New Here
I just signed up and wanted to introduce myself. I have a 1.5 year old Ball Python and his name is Roscoe. At the moment he's being very picky in eating. He hasn't eaten since just before Christmas. He's fine though and is very active...
When I get a chance I'll post a pic of him as well.
Anyway, just wanted to say hello to everyone . . .
Thanks

Welcome. For your ball try to put alternative hide places (both hot and cold side of the terrarium). Don't handle him for some days. Make sure he is getting enough warm from above and try with these conditions after a week to feed him. If he doesn't eat put him in a small carboard box with the rodent. Drill 2-3 small holes for air circulation. What is his general condition? Has he lost weight?

I have a hide box (log) on each side. I also have a 100 watt heat buld outside the top of the terrarium. I was thinking about buying one of those ceramic heat things to use instead of the bulb. Do they put off more heat than a bulb?
I've taken him to my local vet who specializes in reptiles and he's told me he's in excellent health. I've heard from other people that Ball's will sometimes go through a fasting period during the winter though. He is also sill as active as he has been since we got him.
Thanks for the advice and I'll keep everyone posted.

I would not worry about it to much, if he dont start eating soon then I may worry. If he has been fasting then he should be coming out of it soon.
By the way welcome to the site!@
