How a bad thing can turn into a good one (Evolution)

I hope aim not boring anyone with all my little stories, its just that things around me are so beautiful, I wish all of you can enjoy them as well.
These are the true values of life, you can’t buy these moments nor can you commend them, all you can do is appreciate them when they pass by you.

I got my country house 3 years ago, I use to pass part of the day watching hummingbirds evolve in my garden, but being the city guy I was raised to be, iv cut down a patch of flowers mandatory to them, so they moved away last year, that made me pretty upset.
When I got the house I discarded a wood stove, IV been fighting deforestation for 20 years now, so this wood stove wasn’t appreciated by me. Last week my wife asked me to discard the remaining of the stove pipe that runs thru the addict, because she says some birds are disturbing the children’s, obviously she didn’t ask the right guy, as I told her I will discard it when the bird are don nesting, this afternoon I was having a the while looking outside at the snow, suddenly right in front of my eyes 15 feet away a peregrine falcon nailed an other bird in my garden, I was amassed at this sight, my wife and doter also, he or she was there doing her thing right in front of me as we can see on TV in the best national geographic documentary, I watched this animal for as long as I could then it flue away with the dead bird, guess where? You got it…in my old pipe.
This wood burning forest killing machine, is now providing nesting for this rare and magnificent animal. Yes I did take some photos and will post ASAP
I understand this has nothing to do with reptiles, but most of you guys are nature loving peoples, so I guess some of you will appreciate this as well.

You continue posting those nature stories Steve. They're a welcome addition as far as I'm concerned anyway. Watching a peregrine dive and catch it's prey is a wonderful sight. Plant some more flowers, the hummingbirds will come back.

Yeah well me and my roomates love nature too....this winter we put a bird feeder on our front porch.

Those f-ing birds started taking control of the porch. They dive bomb us, spy on us...they have one look out bird who sits like 15 feet away. He watches us and then goes and gets his buddies, and they all fly so close they almsot hit us. Then when we aren't looking they somehow dump the entire contents of the bird feeder all over the porch. We had at LEAST two full 10 pound bags of bird seed ALL OVER the porch under the snow. It was everywhere.

hahaha nature rules. I want to see pictures too!

WOW!!! What I would have gave to see that! I love falcons, epecially peregrine falcons (lol see my name). The only falcon I've seen was either a kestrel or a merlin and it flew right over my head! I also found it's nest later with a mouse skull in it, cool stuff. But yea, post some pics I wanna see!

Ruby-throats are an awesome spectacle - While I was working with EARTHQUEST, we saw a few travelling through Cavendish Park here in London, Ontario during fall migration last year >>>

Lucky you. What can I really say...you can choose to be a prick and cause that bird to flee, or you can enjoy and if your stove sends it away, that's its problem to deal with, as you each have the right to nestle into your niche.

Do you want to preserve the bird or rid it? Sounds to me like you want to preserve it So keep taking photos and get a little humour out of your wife's reaction....like a few bird sounds are gonna wake up some kids...sorry DON'T BUY THAT!!!!!!!!! AND I'M NOT talking from inexperience

I will never disturb this bird, but the pipe is literally in my doter’s room, your right about my wife’s sense of humour, I have to watch here constantly, she’s no longer allowed upstairs with the broom or anything she may nock on pipe with. Man aim telling you her favourite day is Halloween and she keeps talking about visiting Salem the house is full S.speelberg and Katy Wright books she gives me goose bumps.
