Smile She's really growing!

This is my 9 month old Cali. King Ivy. She has reached two feet in length and about 3/4 inches in diameter. She was the one I took to the vet for a bad poop and ever since she was dewormed she has visually put a lot more muscle on. She was not in bad shape before, but she has thickened up quite a lot since the vet visit. Do you think she is normal, undersized or larger than most at 9 months of age? By the way, she is on two fuzzies/week and I will move her up to hoppers after probably 2 more fuzzy feedings.

She now likes to stretch out like that when I hold her, does anyone else's like to do that?

I have a normal desert phase CalKing, she is currently about 33"-34". She is 1 year 3 months old. I feed mine one rat pup and three fuzzies every week.

When I take out my snake, she just goes off wondering around my room, and since there is no where she can wedge herself into, I just leave her until she climbs back on the bed.

She is very nice and growing great. The albino cal kings are such characters - very outgoing. Ours will do the stretching thing too and support himself on his tail, but he is more likely to wrap around my wrist with his tail and stretch his front half out to whatever is just beyond his reach. I don't set him down because he is so fast and so crazy to get into stuff that he would get away in no time. Our guy is likely just over a year (he was a rescue from the pound and was about 20 inches long and quite thin when we got him in October. He has grown to about 30 inches now and is feeding on large hoppers.

I think she looks great! My cal king is not very heavy bodied and seems to grow a bit slower than my corns. So I think you are right on track!

My guy also likes to stretch out but like mary v. said I don't put him down because he would "run" away faster than I could catch him! lol Here he is the other day going into shed.....

I love the bright yellows on the albinos and the dark contrast of desert phases. Thank you for all your comments but nobody directly answered my question . Is she normal, too small, or too big for her age? Thanks.

I think she is right on target like I mentioned. But like all species, there are small and large examples. I believe mine was about the same size when I got him.

But again there is no average.

She's really looking good Andy . Like Marisa said they grow at different rates even with the same feeding schedule. Bones is actually my oldest and he's only around 36". Angel is about 3 months younger and going over 40". She even went on a fast last year where she was only eating once every 5 weeks for about 6 months. Since everybody else is showing off their Cal-Kings....
