Water

hey all, do you guys have a water disk in the tank for your beardie? Or do you spray them down? Ive heard many things about both. For me, i spray mine down twice a day and she drinks it off her nose when it drips down. It keeps her cool too. I have a water dish in there but I have not ever seen her touch it other than when a cricket goes into it. Thanks for the feedback!

I was keeping a water bowl with my beardie, but I found she was soaking too much and developed early signs of skin blister disease. I think she was just soaking there because there's a good view from that corner of the tank... she still sits in that spot a lot. Now I mist her daily and give her warm bath soaks every other day.

I mist my guys twice daily and let them bathe at least once a week. All my beardies but one just love playing in water.

When I have a gravid female I leave a shallow water dish in at all times and they usually do a lot of soaking and drinking.

I leave water in with my beardies 24/7. It's not in there basking spot so if needed they can run in and cool off. The water stays at room temp. I use to mist (spray) them down until they learned to drink from the dish.

I have a large water dish in the cage that our beardie loves to swim around in every once in a while. I also mist him once a day-once every two days.
