Pics of a Cage I am almost done

My second attempt at an oak cage: Almost Done.... It has taken me way too much of my spare time.. Can't wait to ship it off. Then I get to tackle the mess that I call a workshop.

The top Vent and the Electrical Hide box just need to be sanded and stained and then the cage is done.

Let me know what you think.

JUST what I was going to say!!!!!

They are either 12 foot long cornsnakes that like to climb, or its going to be one crazy setup!!

Mouse Holes

He wanted those in case he ever put heat pads or anything with a cord into the cage itself. I never even thought of them as mouse holes, but I guess if you ever fed live, it might be cause for some concern. His idea not mine. I thought everything turned out pretty good though.

Cost and answers....

For me to build this cage including the labour (which i don't think I charged enough for was $1000.00. I used glass for everything except for the back and i'm sure that the glass is cheaper. I also thought that if he were to put heaters underneath, there would be better heat transfer. It is able to hole a fair bit of weight with the support that I have underneath it. I have stood inside it (200lbs) and had no problems.
