Albinos and other colour morphs... like em or not?

What do u guys think of albino snakes and lizards? I just saw a albino water monitor on the other big website and people were talking about how amazing it was. I have seen pics of albino nile monitors too.

I really don't see the attraction.. I think they look kinda nasty personally. I would rather see a nice looking normal animal. Same with albino burms... don't like em. Like the normal ones much better.

The only albinos I think look cool are albino-lavender retics and some albino ball pythons look nice.

I'm actually inclined to agree....at least with certain animals...a few things look pretty nice albino....but generally I'd say I like normals/other morphs better!

depends on how white they are. one of the things that attracts me to snakes is all the different patterns, and on some albinos they're just white. the one exception to this is black mexicans, even though they're all black (no pattern) they look really cool. I like albino burms because they still have a pattern.

I tend to like albinos and morphs in snakes but not so much in lizards and other reptiles. I just saw a pic of an albino iguana not long ago and I didn't think it looked very good but that' my opinion.

But when it comes to snakes, I go gaga over albinos of every kind: boas, balls, corns, whatever!!!

Ya i agree with Pixie, I dont think that all lizards should have that Albino morph, because half of them wouldn't look right in it. I also love the look of all Albino snakes.

I'd have to say I agree, natural color is my favorite. There is only one morph I can think of that I like : striping on Morelia S. McDowelli...

I like the look of many of the various morphs... but I despise the breeding methods used to push them to market.

I'm a fan of normal colouration in most animals. I like albino corns. I'd rather have a well tempered animal than a fancy one.

I love my red sided garter...he's very bright yet still normal. Some selective normal breeding I suppose is good. Inbreeding kinda ruins the excitement of the animal for me. I guess it would be like meeting your brother and sister's baby or something.

Hmmm, I hope I'm getting that thought across right!

I don't like the albino trait in most animals, some wear it well but not most IMHO. I like a few select morphs, but for the most part I'm not a "morpher", they don't appeal to me and the fuss and ridiculous arguements that go along with it all are something I can do without When it comes down to it, I'm a sucker for the exceptional -classic- specimens

My opinion is that most albino species do not look very attractive, with the exeption of certain albino Ball pythons (if you ever been to the pcpc show, there is one lady that always brings one, she keeps it on blue rocks).

The only thing I do not like about color morphs and albinos is that the big majority of them are inbred...... Blood lines are rarely different...... Alot of people do not like cross breeds...... I happen to be one of them....... But I do like the gaboon rhino crosses and the only reason I keep them is because the cross does happen in its natural environment....... It is a natural cross...... And they are not tricked into breeding with eachother like other cross breeds.....
