nitro cars

Hey, i wasn't gonna type this but since the pie posts i figured talking about these is just fine Any own a nitro car??? I am getting one when i have the money (200 more). I am getting the Nitro Rustler, http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=LC2674**&P=1, it has a max speed of 47mph, but with a throttle upgrade it can hit 50mph+. Just wondering if anyone owns one. Ever since i saw my friends I've wanted one.

For anyone whos interested heres the link. Just click on a link under anything nitro-powered.

Country:
I used to be into R/c cars and planes. More planes though. I did have a stadium blitzer, a dual electric USA1 and some odd cars. I never had a Nitro car though. When I was into them, Gas powered R/C cars and trucks were pretty new so they were around 500 to 600 bucks. Out of my price range. Now it would probably be an awsome hobby to get into. But then again, I couldn't afford more reptiles then. And that would be a crime.

oh yeah i forgot too add r/c cars are a insane money pit it seriously its just gone you might want to re think it because of that you will spend more time fixing then playing and nitro engines are hard to tune unless you have experiance with them

Right now I have 10 nitro planes, mostly Carl Goldberg models and an RC10 GT. Good truck but I'm a Team Losi man at heart. I would look into that one if I was you they have a deal out now that comes with the radio and truck. Check out this site: Great Hobbies

Cheers,
Trevor

I got a Nitro Rustler a few years ago, and they are alot of fun. Unfortunatley you do spend way too much time fixing them cuz they break too easily. I really hate when the radio batteries are low cuz the car will just go crazy and go speeding in every which direction, and you have no control over it whatsoever.

thats why you drop 50 bucks and buy a fail safe so your car wont go out of control

is he great with real cars? not r/c cars it helps you you have meachanical knowledge but tuining a 2 stroke nitro engine is a pain you must tune the carb everytime you run it www.rccaraction.com as good articles showing how to do it if you read them you probley wont have much of a problem doing it but the cars can break suspention arms like nuts. you would probley better off with a electric they go just as fast with a good motor and have much better acceleration as well as low maitance a traxxas stampede would be a good choice they are nearly unbreakable my friend used to launch his over his shed off a huge ramp with a landing ramp if you lined it up right it wouldntbreak but if it was off it would be broken any ways electric is great for newbies i started with it went nitro and now i am atgas engines i am building a r/c boat however i wont have any thing with wheels for a long time
