Who here has kept Frilled Dragons?

Hey guys...
Just wondering who here has actually kept frilled dragons... I would like to know what you know from your experience with them. I have heard some are very hardy, but i have also heard completely the opposite. BUT never from someone experienced!!!

I have had a pair of frilled dragons for about 8 months now and they are great. The personality of the frilleds are great, they eat like no other lizard I have seen and the are very easy to take care of. The hardest part of keeping frilled dragons is getting a cage set up for them...they need lots of room (more high than long) but other than that I don't know why more people don't keep them

I've kept Frilled Dragons for over two years now. CBB are hardy, WC can be very finicky and touchy. Not all babies labeled as CBB are actually domestically bred, some unscrupulous dealers will lie to you, so unless you purchase breeder direct or can confirm the origin, it may be a good idea to go out of your way to get a fecal done on any new acquisitions. Keep in mind that even CBB can carry a parasite load, so it's always a good idea to run a couple of fecals anyway.

They're not what I'd call delicate, but they aren't always trouble-free. Be careful about humidity levels or you'll have problems with bad sheds. If you have any specific questions I may be able to answer them.

I disagree with the common recommendation of providing more height than length in a cage. Although it's true that they require the height, these are very active lizards that make impressive horizontal leaps, and equally impressive sprints across level ground while hunting and simply moving about. Floor space is as important as climbing space.

They look very cool when running across the ground on their hind legs. I was opening a cricket box in the reptile room once, and five dragons emerged from their open cage and covered ten feet at a dead run to reach me and the crickets. It looked like a little raptor pack!
