HISS in the Hills
Saskatchewan's reptile club HISS will be hosting the annual Mother's day rattlesnake and bullsnake counts May 10 and 11.
We are located near the Great Sand Hills, in close proximity to well populated den sites. Last year the Sunday count was 60+ rattlers, about 30 bullsnakes, and lots of Black Widow Spiders. No hognose or scorpions, better luck this year. The snakes are federally protected, so field collecting is not permitted, but plenty of photo/video opportunities.
