Angry Eating...first mouse since september

my bp took his first mouse last week (last time was in mid september). He is 3 feet and a couple of inchs and he do need to eat a lot more than a single mouse! Now, he isn`t interested in food again (GRR). He never took a rat before because he wasnt interested but I will try tomorow. Any trick to get him on rats??? It would make my life a lot easier than a " 5 mice a week" schedule. Need help plz! He is getting SOO skinny. He did an almost perfect shed last week.. everything seems ok except that he isn`t eating at all

Get a mouse fuzzy and rip a small piece of flesh with hair on it off of the mouse and stick it on the rat's nose. That usually does the trick when switching. If this works, which it probably will, do it until he eats about 5 or 6 times with this scenting method and then try a plain old rat.

I agree with Andy_G. Except that, i hope that you have done what you have to do in cases like these: Less handling, more hide places, warmer terrarium, the trick with the bag etc.
Cheers ~ Greg
