UVB... please read!

Do carpet pythons require UV lighting or will regular fourescentlighting be okay??? I read on one care sheet they required full spectrum lighting can anyone answer this???

Hi´ Jeff.

I don´t use it and all of those people i know don´t either.
most snakes are active at night and therefore don´t need this lighting. So don´t use money on something you don´t need. Just put some vitamin in the food instead.

Many fluorescent bulbs are labeled "Full Spectrum" and they do not emit UV rays. Full spectrum bulbs produce the red to blue spectrum that we can see, not beyond that.

That's my take. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
