how do you tell age

hello everyone i was just woundering how you can tell the age of a snake or can you even tell by looking at the snake....

You can roughly guess a reptiles age by the size and weight. You can only guess by these factors.

There is no way to get a good age on a snake, it depends on whether it was fed properly, taken good care of, etc. Post a pic, that might help.

in some cases, such as rattlers yes, but most snakes are not like trees and do not have rings.

Ummmm I was joking...... And you cant tell how old a rattlesnake is by its rattle segments...... That is an old wives tale..... They loose segments from time to time........ So you really cant give an exact age on a snake unless it was captive born....... I know how old my neonates are down to the minute.....

If you did not raise them your self there is no true way to tell, unless of course you can talk to animals and they will tell you there age
