Big Boid Pics
Ok show me some pics of your large boids.(over 6 feet) i have been hearing a bunch of numbers for the size of large boids like 6-20 feet. i dont really quite get a mental picture just by hearing it. if you have a pic of a large boid and a person or object inside the pic also please post it. tell me how big that boid is so i can get a mental picture of what 9 feet actually is. well i dont care if it is your bci, burm, retic, or whatever else you got. just as long is it is over 6 feet and has something like a person in the pic so i can figure out relative size.
Also i just love to see pics of large boids. thanks in advance.

Here is a pic of "Hunter" from the zoo I work at. Unfortunately there is nothing in the pic to compare this retic too, but she is 17' and approximately 150lbs. This pic was taken shortly after she ate 2 goats!
Enjoy!

Me and Max, the 12' burm
Perdita, 8' boa
Me and Serendipity, 8' boa. She is a bit skinny in this pic, she is much fatter now and possibly gravid I hope her head fills out somewhat with this pregnancy. I think she was powerfed as a juvie...

Here's a bad pic of the retic from San Antonio Zoo... supposedly she's over 25' and quite aggressive. Coincidentally, she is a dwarf retic. Sorry no size comparasin.
And here's my big burm girl taking a bath... the jar lid on her back is 3" across for size comparasin.

yeah i was thinkin the same, that cage is way to small to goues a boa of that size.
Also, im not big into retics, but i would think that if that one is 25 feet, it isn't a dwarf

hey, there is really no true dwarf retics from what i was told by alot of expierienced keepers at my other site. They are called dwarf retics but that doesn't make them dwarfs.

A retic is a retic, theres always potential for a monster, "dwarf" or not. The odds are probably in your favor with all the specific inbreeding for size now, but still, theres an old saying: S**T happens. Don't get an animal if you can't deal with it in all its forms.
Here's a pic of a local shop's store pet retic. She's about 16'.
