Storage tote conversion with sliding glass?

Has anyone successfully converted a storage bin into front opening enclosure with sliding glass completely on your own? No ordering tracks or frames completely diy? I am close just trying to find away to make a smooth track or find something that will act as a track for the glass. I have used the aluminum u channels in the past on wood cages but I do not want to do that with this.

You can order plastic tracks from Rockler.
I would think that the hard part would be finding a bin that was smooth and square inside, and large and sturdy enough.
