Anyone use a fogger to raise humidy for Burmese Python?

My enclosure, a 20 gl aquarium for my small burmese python is always at a low humidity with the just the water bowl. It's around 27% even with the top mostly covered. I also have a nice layer or reptibark as substrate. Has anyone used a fogger? I bought one and paired it up with an inkjet regulator to keep it at 65% and it works, but it's cycling on and off every minute and blowing a lot of fog into the cage. Is that ok? Is it ok for the snake to be laying in the mist? If so, how long should I keep this running? 24/7? I have my temps just right, how anal do I need to be with humidity?
Thanks,
Ian
