Tell me about your Favorite reptiles
Yeah I just really want to know what your favorite reptiles are and why?

Re: Tell me about your Favorite reptiles
I like nonvenomous colubrid snakes best. Kingsnakes and corn snakes are especially intricate to look at and learn about.

Re: Tell me about your Favorite reptiles
I love colubrids like here in spain the Montpellier snake, that are mildly venomous. also love King cobras and true cobras because of their behavior. If there was a nonvenomous snake that behaved like cobras, that would be my favorite. Honestly my list for snakes could go on and on because I have a very hard time choosing a favorite from the thousands of snake species. If I had to tell you my favorite snake species, the list would probably have over 80 species. The only snakes that don't really interest me are ball pythons. Not sure really why just they have never been very interesting to me, they are slow, don't really do anything... ever... just sleep, to fat to climb... (my personal opinion, I know lots of people adore this species so please don't criticize me for it, just my opinion.) their colors are amazing though. I generally I prefer thick slender bodied snakes (if that makes any sense...) like the bull snake build or generally like rat snakes.

I'm not sure if this would count, but hognose snakes (which are also mildly venomous) have hoods like those of cobras.

Re: Tell me about your Favorite reptiles
Carpet pythons are my favorite snake species. Boas are a close second. Their beauty, size, temperament, feeding response, and simple husbandry make them ideal snakes to keep imo.

Re: Tell me about your Favorite reptiles
That is a hard question, but my favorite based on factors like appearance, temperament and size, I would have to say red tailed boa/boa constrictor. They are so beautiful, with their colors and patterns. I love all reptiles but snakes are my favorite.

Yeah hognose are pretty cool snakes, what gets me about cobras tho is how they stand up and how they behave. Not sure exactly what it is about the way they behave but it really is amazing. I especially love the Malaysian king cobra! thanks for the suggestion tho!
