New to the forum! (and a quick question)

Hello! I'm new to the forum so I'm not sure how everything works around here but I'm slowly figuring it out.
On another note, I caught a snake a while back (and released after a few minutes) and have always been curious as to what species it may be.
I know the pictures arent the best but does anyone have any suggestions? I thought it might be an earthsnake but I'm not sure.
