Breeding my snakes.

Hello everyone, I am new to the whole breeding game and I was told in order to maybe have a clutch of banana pied I would need a female pied and a male banana is this true? I have a male pied right now and a female banana and I was told that will not work. So before I buy the correct pair I want to know that I do need a female pied. Thanks!

Breeding

Hello I’m trying to produce a banana pied, I have a male pied and a female banana but I was told I need a female pied and male banana to maybe get a pied banana. Is this true or will my 2 snakes I have now possibly give me what I’m looking for?

Re: Breeding my snakes.

hi,

Try not to make multiple threads of the same question please.

To answer your question, you need both parents to carry the pied gene and only one to carry the banana gene. Gender doesn't matter.

In your case you would need a banana het for pied female or a banana pied female. Het means it carries the genetics of the morph but it isn't visual.
