White lip python not eating.

Hello all. I've been dealing with this issue since I first got these snakes in early August. They are a juvenile pair of wild-caught Northern white-lipped pythons . I was asking questions on a Facebook page that is no longer there so now I'm here. I started them out in shallow but large totes with paper towels, hide, and water dish. For the first two months neither of them ate. I had the temp mid eighties and the hotspot at about a hundred. Was suggested I lower the temp to 80 and have the hot spot at 90 and also put a substrate in there. I also have kept the humidity up this whole time as I was under the impression that they need a higher humidity. I also have them now in a taller tote what's a piece of PVC to climb. It's been about 2 weeks and they still have not eaten. I even tried live mice and live mice with chicken broth on them thinking maybe the smell of bird would help. The best I got was the female constricted and then released the mouse. Neither have eaten still. I've only been trying once a week to feed them. Other than that I try to say hands off. Any other suggestions would be helpful as I don't know where to go from here. There's a guy in my local pet store who said he could force feed for me but I would prefer not to have to do that.

Have you tried live rat pups left over night? Rat pups are small enough that they won't harm the snake if left unattended. Try that.

You could also try adding more places to hide and foliage to feel more secure. Don't worry about too much clutter. It's not an issue with snakes.
