Question Does the colors in the terrarium matter?

I am curious. Does it matter which colors the decoration, the hides and the background in the enclosure have? Are there some colors that if you would use them to paint the enclosure that the snake would get irritated or disturbed or maybe can't perceive the objects properly.
I am really about your answers.

You can paint it whatever colors you want, Picasso!

In fact, if you really want to freak the snake out, paint everything white so it looks like it's been snowing!!
