Hi! New here, and getting my first snake soon!
Hey everyone! I just joined this forum; someone on a yahoo snake board told me to come here, so...here I am!
I guess I should introduce myself, huh? Well, my name's Katie, I'm 16 years old, soon to be 17. I live in Southern NJ with a fair amount of pets. I personally have 2 parakeets, 1 hamster, 1 huge rabbit, 6 rats (yes, pets!), and 2 mice (also pets!), a dog and 3 geckos my dad cought last summer in New Orleans. The family pets are 2 dogs, 3 cats, a chinchilla, and a lot of pets.
I've liked snakes ever since I was little. We never had one before, my mom wouldnt let us (me or my brother). I remember when I was about 3 or 4 and I was at my babysitters a black snake crawled up my dress-haha. My babysitter didnt understand why I didnt scream, cry, or run away....My neighbors used to have a ball python, and when I was younger I'd always go over there to see it. Just recently I decided that I wanted one. Convincing my mom would be the problem. Within a couple days, I convinced her to let me get one. So I picked out a ball python. I heard they make good starter snakes, and I like their size and look. So within a couple months, I'll have my very own snake. Yah!
If youre wondering how I could have pet mice and rats, and possibly be able to feed a ball python, it won't bother me if theyre frozen. I just wont be able to do live, or have to kill them myself.

LOL...yeah, but I didnt notice this topic until after I made the post. So, I left out the info on the BP, and questions, and just put in some info about me.

Hi Katie and welcome to the group
You will love having a BP, I'm sure you're dying to get it!!! While you're waiting and saving up, learn as much as you can and don't be shy to ask some questions.
