How to know if snake is injured?

I'm a new snake keeper and I was wondering what the signs are that a snake may be physically injured are. I have a baby Florida Kingsnake and i'm paranoid that I accidentally hurt him when I accidentally applied a little pressure when he was trying to get to ground. I'm probably just over thinking things but I got worried when I put him back in his terrarium and he went into his hide instead of burying himself which is his norm (or at least for the two weeks i've had him).

Its pretty hard to physically harm a snake i dont if that's different when they are younger. Just monitor him, and if he acts stranger maybe try bringing him to the vet.

With Kings you can do two things...

1) put the snake down on a flat surface so the snakes spine is down, so basically upside down. If the snake shows no sign of struggle flipping over its probably fine.

2) hold the snake by the back 1/3 of the body so the tail is wrapped around your fingers. Let the snakes body kinda dangle. If the snake can easily control it's body in that position the snake is probably fine.

Best of luck.
