Hi, my name is Sarah and I own a ball python, Atom. I got him off craigslist in January, 2018, the consensus on his coloring is POG (pastel orange ghost). His previous owner got him from a reptile expo and was told he hatched in June 2017. He was around 1ft when I got him in January, he is now 2ft.
He was eating 1 adult mouse per week when I first got him, we've worked our way up through rat fuzzies, pups, weanlings, and now we're on 1 small rat every 12 to 14 days.
I had wanted a ball python for many years, then in January I found myself with an empty 55 gallon tank and instead of getting more fish I started looking at snakes and found Atom. Easiest pet I've ever owned; he lets me know when he's hungry, he has an overall friendly and mellow disposition, and is super low maintenance.

Welcome! Funny; I've started feeling the same way. When I have an empty fish tank now, I think about filling it with a snake, other reptile or invert instead of fish! I think I've reached my breaking point (3 fish tanks) for water changes!
