Eastern fence lizard behavior

I have a little baby eastern fence lizard. I was having some issues with him getting dehydrated, I saw the salt on his nostrils. I backed the heat light off the enclosure, I've been misting the sides of the tank in the morning since he doesn't bother with the water dish. I don't ever see him drink from it though. Recently he had his first molt. He has started burrowing in the ground to sleep. He has only been doing this for the last 4-5 days and started about when I saw his first signs of shedding. Is this related to molting or the heat from the light maybe? Perhaps this a normal behavior. He burrows in the dirt and I usually can only see his back sticking out. Previously he used to sleep on one of the sticks I have in there.

I think this was an issue with the light being to close/ too hot. He wasn't burrowed when I got home from work, also no salty nose.

He still sleeps in the burrow instead of on his basking spot, there's nothing wrong with this. I just thought the change in behavior was strange. He's not getting dehydrated anymore.
