Question African Egg-Eating Snakes

Do African egg-eating snakes make good pets? I may be getting one, and there's not a lot of information available online about them.

Thanks

Re: African Egg-Eating Snakes

If it's big enough to take quail eggs and eating on its own, then yes they make fine pets. Very small ones do not make good pets as they have to be tube fed or you have to try to find a steady supply of finch eggs

Re: African Egg-Eating Snakes

I've seen videos on youtube of people feeding them regular chicken eggs. they just cracked the shell and scrambled the egg, and the snake drinks it right up.

Re: African Egg-Eating Snakes

I know nothing of them as pets, so won't be any help. I just wanted to chime in and say they are fascinating animals. Please post pics if you end up getting one. I'd love to follow the progression if you share.

Anyway, good luck!
