Bearded Dragon with cryptosporidium, anybody use azithromycin?

Anyone use azithromycin? My bearded dragon is confirmed to have cryptosporidium and some of the information I read is this antibiotic had success in treating this parasite in some cases of bird related problems. My vet does have it, so Im hoping I can get it prescribed for my dragon, as he was just diagnosed with it, rather try to treat it now before it gets worse. Anybody had similar problems and any solutions?

I know there is a bearded dragon thread however figured here would pick up more looks and could help the entire reptile community
