Thanks everyone. I appreciate your kind comments.
He's a great little animal with a super personality. Small snakes often seem jumpy and timid when confronted with a large human, but this little fellow is very bold. If you open his container, he'll come right up to you, looking for food, or he'll crawl right out onto your hand. It's very neat. I'll put it this way, I RARELY name my snakes (they all have a code # for record-keeping), but this chap has so much "charisma" that I couldn't help giving him a name.
I cannot wait to get a female, but they are hard to find at the moment.
Marisa; I'm not exactly sure of the adult lengths of these guys, but I believe it's around two feet for a normal adult female, although I have heard of some a fair bit longer than that. I think males tend to be smaller.
Xetox; I purchased him at a show in Toronto on November 17th, '02. He was almost eight inches in length at the time. He is now a lttle more than 11 inches, and has put on quite a bit of girth.
Cheers!
Simon
