Losing Control
Found two more snakes I've just GOT to have...a Vietnamese Blue Beauty and a Blood Red Corn. I dropped some e-mails off to the owners asking them to let me have them
Here's the Vietnamese Blue Beauty...
The Vietnamese Blue would go great with my Taiwanese Beauty..
And then there's this Blood Red Corn being sold near me...
I just hope they're still available...

Re: Losing Control
I'd go for the blood red too, but the VBB need a really large enclosure.

Re: Losing Control
Wow. I can understand. Luckily I haven't found anyone near me selling unique stunners like that yet.

Re: Losing Control
I know...my TB is in a 6’x3’x2’ PVC, but it really needs one of those 4’x3’x6’ arboreal enclosures; and the VB, which is only a foot shorter, needs the same.
I’ve been looking at the BoaMaster arboreal enclosures, but at $1k/ea, I’m probably going to go with a BoaMaster 8’x3’x3’ terrestrial for a time—they’re only $550 and I can eventually put my CPs or large Boas in there after I source, or build (I’m all thumbs), some other arboreal enclosures.

I don't know if you're interested or not but this is how I am going to build my 4'x3'x2'8" vivarium for my BRB.

I am also going to do something like this in my vivarium.

Hope this helps save you some money.

Re: Losing Control
Thanks, EZ!
Still waiting for word I can have the VBB, but I got confirmation from the Corn seller that it's mine.
The funny thing is that the Corn seller is the same one that sold me my Pueblan Milk back in December. The Corn seller posted that he'd meet the prospective buyer at the Tractor Supply in Mechanicsburg VA, the same place I met the seller of the PM; so, I sent another e-mail asking if it was the same person, and they replied that they were indeed the same person.
Small world, isn't it...

Beautiful! Congrats on the corn and hope you get that VBB, I do kind of hope you don't plan to breed it with the taiwan beauty..

Re: Losing Control
I'm not that irresponsible...I may be on this seemingly insane buying spree, but I won't pollute the waters by cross breeding any of my snakes.

Re: Losing Control
And...yes, I scored the Vietnamese Blue Beauty, as well as the Blood-red Corn, and also the Woma in my other post.
A trio for the win!!!

Re: Losing Control
I don’t know what it’s like around the rest of the country, but living in the Wash D.C. area has afforded me some really good opportunities that I couldn’t pass up.
