So my monitor won't die if he doesn't get UV light? I just want him to have the best enclosure possible. So should I include UV light?

Yes........OR........No

Thanks again guys,

UVB is for synthesizing Calcium. If you have a monitor that eats strictly insects, then I would opt for the UVB light. If you have a monitor that eats crickets and ground turkey and mice, then if I had the extra money to afford it, I probably would.

IMO, I would think young growing monitor lizards would benefit from UVB
