Hello from a reptile newbie!
Hi everyone!
My name is Sam, and I am very new to the wonderful world of reptiles. Prior to now, the only experience with reptiles I had was the 2 beardies that my parents owned when I was in high school. I never thought I would fall head over heels with reptiles, but after tortoise-sitting for a friend something just felt right. I immediately started to do hours and hours of research on various reptiles, and soon came to the conclusion that I wanted to acquire a crested gecko. Within a month of tortoise-sitting, I became the proud owner of a little female crestie, Jynx. Soon after, I realized that my desire was not completely quenched. One day, my boyfriend was talking about how he would one day like to own a snake. At first, I was like that's cool but not really for me... then something hit. I suddenly became obsessed again and could not stop researching all sorts of snakes. I then came to the conclusion that the best (first) snake for me would be a Kenyan Sand Boa... a beautiful little stubby noodle of my own. Of course, being the impulsive (yet still careful and research-conducting) person I am, I went to a reptile expo and acquired my little baby KSB, Jigsaw I know this is something that I will enjoy for the rest of my life. I hope to learn and get some great advice from this forum!

Re: Hello from a reptile newbie!
A belated welcome from me.
I haven't been on here for a while myself. I see you already have the addiction lol. We started with beardies years ago, and now have pythons, dragons, and monitors.

Re: Hello from a reptile newbie!
Yeah, I started with just one garter snake. You can see from the signature how THAT turned out.
Jigsaw is a cute name for a sand boa. Welcome to the forum!
