My juvenile Southern WLP didn't try anything when I collected him in NC sometime back, or even when I picked him up after a bad shed just the other day; but, when I was moving my hand around the front of his cold hide, where I put him back after the examination, he did pop my right hand in a mock strike.
But then again, he's only as thick as one of my larger fingers (I have small hands) so there's not a lot he could've done...

Thanks everyone! He's got quite the attitude, my girlfriend wanted to see him when she got home from work. I slid open his tub and out he came, lunged out and nearly got me right in the face. The reach on him really caught me off guard lol

It's a quarantine enclosure, I don't want this turning into a debate on whether tubs/racks are good or not
