Ceramic heat emitter and uth

Hi, I've recently had a new plastic enclosure built for my ball python. It's size is approximately 1400x600x500mm.
I've put a heating pad on the one side underneath the enclosure and the temperature gets to a maximum of 25 degrees Celsius. Should I put the ceramic heat emitter on the same side of the enclosure as the heating pad or on the opposite side of the enclosure?

Normally I'd say one or the other. A combination of UTH+basking lamp for UV of some sort is an option to explore as well since the CHE is only going to put out more heat and no UV rays.

Make sure you keep a cooler side too. If you are going to use both, I would put them both on the same side.

Would ditch the UTH and get either incandescent heating lights or a RHP if having a 'light' is an issue. And yes, heat only 1 side of the place, not both.

Thanks for everyone's help, I was told by allot of the pet shops here that because the cage is so long, I would need to add a CHE to the cool side, but listening too everyone's advice here I think I'm gonna ditch the CHE.

Ditch the uth not the che. The che is a far more effective heat source.

No not really. How many uth's are there in the wild?

The che will heat the ground which will radiate heat back out in any event. Much more natural.
