Incoming - Elaphe climacophora
Inspired by Sylphie I have finally sourced a Elaphe climacophora - Japanese rat snake. It's from the same breeder as the Natrix and again will be picked up next month at the expo.
One of the babies and one of the parents. Simply sublime snakes...

No just Doncaster. I've developed quite good access to breeders of some near species. Possibly one more from this breeder then I really do need to hold off until I know whether the super secret snakes are on.

Yes, blue phase parents - very lovely. I think the colour of the baby is more because it's a crappy phone picture than anything else.

I remember some post 1-2 months ago that you completed your collection... guess that didn't hold for too long
Ratsnakes are just amazing animals in general and I love that natrix, would really like one.

I think I said 'for now' .
And the Natrix didn't bit because it's so small

Your collection continues to grow impressively Danny. I love the diversity of species that you keep. The new addition is another stunner.

Thanks zig. I'm very pleased to have found this one and this and the Natrix were a mere $60 or so each so an excellent price as well.
I really will be stopping though soon. There is a snake I've got my eye on in the local store, these two and the bonus surprise mystery snakes (I can only get a pair) and they really that has to be it for a good while.
I have to consider space and money going forward. I can absolutely afford to keep what I have in the manner in want to keep them but I have to be mindful of going too crazy! The damned stats, UV, vivs etc are a fair amount on their own!

Re: Incoming - Elaphe climacophora
I know what you mean Danny. The snakes are often less expensive than the enclosures and other necessary equipment. I've got one more critter on my radar but I have to wait at least a few months. It'll be well worth it though.
