Hello, this is my first time in a forum so please be patient with me My husband power washed the house with water and bleach and scared a black snake out from under the deck. I shooed it in to the laundry room and it was still alive 2 days later but has now disappeared. I wonder if it lived or ended up dying from the exposure to the bleach water.

Re: Introduction

Welcome and best wishes Swisho. Snakes are pretty resilient critters. I hope your visitor found a way back outside.

Re: Introduction

Welcome Sallie...

Snakes are the only animals on the planet that can survive up to a year without food. They are also very good at escaping...so.. That snake will probably be fine.

Re: Introduction

Hello to all. I just got my first pet snake in a long time. A cute little male Western Hognose. I've wanted one for years and finally made the commitment. I couldn't be happier! As a child I had a bullsnake, and a plethora of garder snakes that I caught over the years on our farm in New Mexico. I got my little guy from a local breeder, I wanted a male because they stay smaller. Ill post some pics soon. I hope to be active in this online community.
