Unfortunate Story
Did anyone see this story a couple days ago (link below)? This was totally unnecessary. While I can understand being a bit freaked out having a boa attached to your face and head, this woman still had the wherewithal to call 911 and describe the situation. As stated at the bottom of the article, a couple drops of alcohol (or cold water, or vinegar, etc.)would have done the trick. She also could have instructed the first responders to simply unwind from the tail as well. This was a 5'6" snake we're talking about, it wasn't cutting off her breathing/circulation, and didn't need to be killed to solve the situation.

Re: Unfortunate Story
Yeah we it over here. My first thought was what the **** was a snake with an unknown temperament doing where near her face? I don't let any of my snakes I know well near my face.

Re: Unfortunate Story
Yeah, that too. Rudy hasn't bitten me in 35 years, and I still don't just grab him and hold by my face. I'll play tree branch and sometimes he climbs over the top of my head and might tongue flick me in the head or something, but I never intentionally hold him up to my face. My take is if you do that and you get bit in the face, just deal with it. The snake shouldn't have to have any negative consequences to one's personal stupidity.

Re: Unfortunate Story
Oops. I missed that. And those other items you mentioned were infuriating as well.

Re: Unfortunate Story
Heard it on the radio Friday. Should stick with ball pythons obviously.
