New toy

May not look very exciting but this is my new snake related toy - a solarmeter 6.5.

Allows my to properly measure the uvi at any point in a viv.

Not wishing to start a whole UV share as we've covered the subject in depth already but if you are looking to at UV to a snake set-up in particular where the correct UV level is more critical then one of these puppies is perhaps as important at as thermostat.

They're not cheap ($250) but they also take the guess work out of when a bulb needs replacing so you may will save money in not just replacing tubes at an arbitrary 9 months or whatever.

Going to have fun setting up my new vivs with this

Latest UV debate for reference if anyone is interested in that subject
