Besides having 0 benefits, it is also quite cruel and I would advise against doing that if you mean a live rat. Having actually seen someone do this, I can tell you it is not something great to look at... The mother dies at a 'normal' speed but depending on far along she is the babies won't pass that fast, much much slower and they 'struggle'.
