Re: Brazilian rainbow boa won't come out
If she can get out, there's no need to worry. She's in a new place, so she's probably still settling in, and the tree feels the most secure for her. Just give her some time to settle in, and maybe remove the tree until she gets too big to fit in it, or close it off the next time you catch her out of it.
Make sure all her other hides are secure, too. The hides should fit her snugly when she curls up in it, if they're too big she may not feel safe in them.
Next time you feed her, let her just stay in the tree and see if she eats. She can miss a few meals and be ok, but if she stays in the tree (without eating), then I'd double check your husbandry and hides again.
Snakes only tolerate us, they don't enjoy being handled, so we need to keep that in mind when handling them. Don't handle a snake if it doesn't want to be handled, and don't overhandle them as that can stress them out and make them ill. She'll come around with time, until then the key is making her as comfortable as possible.
