The RAD House herptile adventures

I have a growing collection of scaly and slimy creature pictures from my past few exploits and I figured I put them all in one location as well as have a place for all future photos.

First up are pictures I took on our honeymoon to Tanzania and Zanzibar.
We saw these skinks in multiple locations

Here is gecko inside one of our "tents".

We also saw several leopard tortoises meandering around until they get high centered, of course.

I almost stepped on this female agama she blended in so well, her partner on the other hand was not so cryptic.

This agama was about six feet from a huge male lion resting.

Another male agama but from a different area with different coloration.

A large nile crocodile enjoying the morning sun.

My most exciting reptile encounter was this incredible nile monitor. I mean just look at that coloring and pattern. When I first saw him in the water I thought it might be a snake.

Re: The RAD House herptile adventures

Next is my trip to Hawaii.
We saw several types of anoles

The highlight of this trip was finding these green sea turtles feeding near a swimming beach. They were so close they would sometimes run into due to the strong waves. My father in law even got a little cut up by one. The first and only sea turtle attack.

My first snake in the photo collection is this baby Great basin gopher snake I found in my parents back yard.

I found this prairie rattlesnake, Crotalus viridis, only 10 minutes drive from my home in urban Denver.

Re: The RAD House herptile adventures

Thank you both. I really enjoy trying to catch the animals as naturally as possible. Albert if you are going to upgrade your camera, I really suggest spending the money on a dslr with a couple good lenses. Just to warn you it is just as easy to spend money on cameras as it is reptiles.
