Is this an Eastern King snake

Hi folks. I nearly stepped on this guy when I walked outside. I believe he's an Eastern King Snake. Can you help me verify that? About 36", white/yellowish tinted bands. He was pretty fast moving and very unhappy when I prodded him with a stick. Curled up and struck at the stick. I'm in Piedmont North Carolina, rural area, very wooded. Thank you for your help. Barry

Re: Is this an Eastern King snake

Confirmed, Eastern Kingsnake (Lampropeltis getula). Harmless/nonvenomous. Sometimes referred to as a Chain Kingsnake. Nice find.
