New Snake :)

Hey guys, just wanted to give you a heads up, just bought this Banana Spider YB 100% Het Hypo from Logan Stillwell, aka Medusa Morphs. To say I'm blown away is an understatement! Absolutely beautiful! I'm posting the last payment next Thursday, and heel be arriving the Monday after next. Logan tells me he weighs ~800 grams, so I picked up two f/t small rats, one weighs 58g and the other is 77g. Quick question, are these an appropriate size?

Re: New Snake :)

Grats on the new reptile. Medusa Morphs are a very reputable breeding company by far. That morph is a amazing looking animal. Grats. The rat sizes are a tad small if you use the guideline of the 10 - 15% of body weight. But it is a good place to start with a new addition in going for a smaller prey item initially. Actually the 77gm rat is very close. This particular guideline is more for animals under 1 year old and less than 1000 gms. Any bp morph with the yb gene is a plus for sure. 100% het hypo adds to the desirability as well.
