Re: Hide for big snakes?
Triangular shaped as it is, it would fit nicely in a corner

Re: Hide for big snakes?
I'd say no. Snakes are excellent at squeezing in to small spaces, and in fact, LOVE to do so.
Can't really say much without a definition on "large snake"....but a 2-3' section of PVC drain pipe would probably make a "happy" hide.

Not entirely sure how thick big snakes get, but it could work.

Re: Hide for big snakes?
My cats love this litter box! It's super, and holds in the smells. Haven't used it on my snakes yet.

Re: Hide for big snakes?
Great hide. I like the idea of the corner shape. I currently use kitten size litter boxes for done if my larger snakes in my rack. They fit perfect side to side in my 41qt tubs. Only costs $3.99 at my grocery store.

Re: Hide for big snakes?
Exo Terra has a tortoise hide you can use. The shop owners have an adult burm that uses one and she appears content with it. As content as a snake can be I suppose.

My male retic uses this. He likes it well enough, it just doesn't hold in humidity underneath it because of the wide opening, like some of the plastic ones with smaller entrance holes. That's my only complaint with it. But Tigger absolutely loves his hide.

Re: Hide for big snakes?
I like using real materials. Much of mine is actual collected rock and wood but for really big it's hard to get the surface area without the weight. Right now I'm steadily expanding my 12x12" real stone floor tiles until I reach a size my over 6' bull snake likes and connect them more permanently. I think I need to actually lower the height.

I can see the appeal to that, but I like light weight stuff I can take soap and water to...

I too like natural and tend to use cork bark as its lighter weight and you can get pieces in all different sizes. My olive pythons though are reach going to get a stone 'cliff' and my T lepidus is going to get a dry stone wall type construction with some nooks and crannies.
