Tank heater

I hope to get my hoagie in a couple weeks, working on terrarium set up. Starting in a 10 gallon, 20"x10".

I am looking for the proper size heat pad.
I have found a Ultra therm under tank 11x6 - is this too big
The only smaller one I have found is Aiicioo 8 watt reptile heating pad 6x8

Thoughts on these, or what do you use for your small enclosures? I expect within in a year we will have to move up in size, especially since I am leaning towards getting a female.
