Thursday or Friday is feeding day. Koujin the bull was not thrilled to be pulled out of his basking spot 2 days in a row but I decided on a rodent size for him and it's thawing.
Eoghan the sumatran short tail aka black blood python took a shot at me and I didn't stop to get a pic of him while weighing. Koujin doesn't even make me flinch but Eoghan I'd rather not have attached to me. I try to brush a section not near their head before slowly scooping a loop but I guess he didn't feel secure enough and he was on the warm end so he was plenty active. He's 6oz and he got a 1.1oz gerbil. It took some effort and I had to wiggle and pull back on the food at the right moment but he took prekilled for the first time instead of live.
Askook the desert king already had his fuzzy put out since he only comes out at night but turns out he was shedding and so I have a rotten mouse to remove and a snake skin.
Barairo, rosy boa, came in just under Eoghan at 5.8oz but she still gets smaller prey. There's a little mouse warming in water for her. At least I don't have to worry any about her threatening me. If I get enough birthday money I'm after a black striped (magdalena plains or ortiz) rosy. They are so nice to handle. I'm debating breeding if i get some known locale individuals.
If Eoghan goes f/t and Askook moves up to hoppers I'm going to need to upgrade my warming container again. I started out with a little jar I shoved a mouse hopper vertically in.
