Hello from Upstate New York!
Hello everyone, my name is Matt. A little bit about me quick, I work as a motorcycle technician at a Honda dealership. I enjoy doing a lot outdoors: Riding motorcycles, camping, sailing. I also play bass and some video games in my spare time. And of course I enjoy snakes! I currently own a 1 1/2 year old Male B.c.c Red tail boa named Diablo, 3 year old regular ball python (believed to be male, not sexed) named Abaddon, and approx. 6 month old albino milk snake named Crush also not sexed. I would like to get into building my own snake rack with tubs to house more snakes efficiently and possibly get into breeding. So far i'm very happy with my selection of snakes and as of currently would love to add a Jungle Carpet Python to my collection in the near future. I look forward to learning more about these wonderful creatures and seeing everyone else's beautiful snakes and getting to know some of you.
-Matt

Re: Hello from Upstate New York!
Welcome. Lots of experience on here with all the snakes you mention.
I have a soft spot for Bcc's - will most boas actually. Would love to see pictures. Do you know which locality it is?
I recently added an Irian Jaya carpet and he's fantastic-you would not be disappointed with a Jungle.
Pictures as so as you can post them.

Welcome! So glad you could join!
Sounds like you've got some great snakes. Carpet Pythons are gorgeous, best of luck getting one! : )

Re: Hello from Upstate New York!
Hello guys, thanks for the nice welcoming I believe I made a typo in the OP and meant to say the boa is a BCI not a BCC I wasn't told when I got him exactly what type so if anyone can say for sure then I'm open to ideas, also they took him to a couple different vets cause when after eats around his pattern mostly towards his head will turn a little reddish like a subtle red and nothing bad was said, if anything they were told it might've been cross bred with a blood python. I'd love to get a Jungle Carpet asap but I know I gotta save up enough first to get the enclosure and such first.
Well I was gonna post pics but every time I try it gets denied for too many URLS or forbidden words, however I tried it with just one uRL link and still got denied. Just to be sure, you can link pics here from photobucket right? Didn't have this problem on other forums when I did it.

Welcome to ssnakess! BCI cannot have been crossed with bloodpythons. Boa constrictors of unknown lineages are just known as boa constrictors!

Ahhh okay makes sense, thanks for clearing that up. I'm still fairly new to boas and all their morphs but am excited to learn as much as I can as they are quickly becoming my favorite snake.
Tonight I'll work on getting those pictures uploaded for you all

Re: Hello from Upstate New York!
Finally am able to get some pics uploaded for you all
First is Diablo the boa, my personal favorite, he just chills out on you and is very tolerable. He is about 1 1/2 years and estimated 3 1/2-4ft, hasn't shed yet for me.

Re: Hello from Upstate New York!
Second is Abaddon the BP, was originally my dad's then came under my care. He's a little skiddish and shy with the occasional hiss but does tolerate being handled and warms up shortly although he seems to like exploring on his own better than being held. I am unsure when my dad purchased him but I'd say he's around 4 years old and about 3 1/2-4ft but a little more girth than the boa.

Re: Hello from Upstate New York!
This lil fella is Crush, the Albino Pueblan Milk snake. Still young and working on taming him and slowly increasing his handling time and he is showing improvement still a 75% chance of being peed on haha. I'd estimate him at about 6-8 months old and around 10-12 inches.

Re: Hello from Upstate New York!
And the most recent addition, Frankenstein the Jungle Carpet Python I'm super excited about this guy, just picked him up last night from a lady off craigslist for a great deal and he came with his enclosure too! She said he loves to roam out of his tank and soak in the tub. He's almost 3 years old and she had him checked and he is supposedly ready to breed too which is something I'll be looking into doing. And she said he's somewhere over 7ft and I'd estimate around 8.
Now I'd consider my collection temporarily complete haha
