Where can I find resources and advice for the raising, handling, and caring for Banana Boas?

I've just received clarification species-wise: banana ball pythons and/or albino boas.

And how big do they grow?

Ball pythons should grow to about 3-5 feet. With boas, it depends on species, subspecies etc. I'd recommend searching/posting in the ball python and boa sections of the forums, though both balls and boa constrictors (if that's what you have) should be very easy to find info on in a lot of places online.

Banana ball pythons are really beautiful! Can we see a pic?

Albino boas are going to be imperator, so you'll be looking at 5'-8' for Colombians and 3'-5' for any CA albinos.

For boas, The Complete Boa Constrictor by Vin Russo is a great resource. It's 7 years old so some of the info is outdated but a very good starting point.

What does CA stand for?

Central American. Whilst still Boa imperators CA's generally stay a foot or two shorter than their Colombian imperator counterparts.

A true red tail Boa constrictor will generally be a foot or two (sometimes more) longer than a Colombian.

Boas completely rock btw unlike BP's which are just rocks

Size and color is a big factor because I live with my parents. My dad is not fond of snakes, but he let me have a cornsnake temporarily, which is why I am going for the banana color. It's hard to explain, but there is something about the color that can make the snake seem more or less intimidating. I don't know if that makes sense. And it is important to know which breeds grow which size, because my parents may not approve of me having a large snake.

Where would I be able to find these unusual-colored snakes?

I'm in the uk so can't help with sources. If size is a concern then a BP or perhaps one of the corn snake or rat snake morphs would be a better bet than a boa.

Also (as I found our when I tools my wife) if you tell someone you have a boa constrictor they tend to think of some 40' person eating monster. Utter nonsense of course but that's the way it is...

There are no breeds in the reptile worlds, a breed would require them to belong to same species, and reptiles are also unable to be bred to perform tasks or physical forms like in a domesticated breed. (For example certain cow breeds are bred for different fat levels in the meat, some cats are bred for their size and fluffy coat, etc.) All we can do is breed preexisting color and pattern mutations together in reptiles.

If you're worried about snakes, get a dwarf locality of boa constrictor, so long as it hasn't been mixed with Colombian it should never reach 6'. Corns and ball pythons are also good bets. Corns will seem the smallest as they have the least amount of girth, boa constrictors will be second since they have less girth than ball pythons but more than corns, and ball pythons will seem the largest comparing equal sizes due to their girth. You shouldn't need anything larger than a 4'x2'x2' for any of these, so long as if you get a boa it isn't Colombian.

literarylark--pretty boy floyd is certainly pretty. i never thought about the yellow color being less intimidating. maybe that's why people are attracted to my mac so much. (maybe?)
