My New Friend, Pituophis!

I found this little cutie sunning himself in the parking lot as I was leaving work. Needless to say I put him in my purse and brought him home. Actually I don't know its sex, just that it's angry, haha.

He's adapted to captivity well despite the photos. It's just his threat display towards my phone. Working name is Bullwinkle because people here erroneously call Great Basin Gopher Snakes Bullsnakes.

he's really cute and bullwinkle is a great name. i wish i lived somewhere that i could just aquire a snake. it would sure be a lot cheaper!

Nice looking snake. Definitely defensive due to being a wild snake. Hopefully in time it will calm down for you. I'd suggest taking fecal sample to the vet for testing so you can treat it for parasites. Good luck with your new friend.

It's true! He won't take FT from me but he will eat it immediately after I close his tub.

Nice looking pit Psych. Like Humble said that attitude is all for show and they really are fun snakes to keep.
