Built an outcrop for a couple rattlers.

My girlfriend got into a crafty mood and made me do craft stuff as together time..., so I built an outcrop for a couple rattlers. Mostly for the blacktail.

Very cool and like Tiny Boidae said, it sure looks like your snake enjoys it as well which is the real test of how good it is.

The blacktail has been climbing all over it, the two atrox that are in there have been taking advantage of the hides.

It's foam board and quick dry, top coat concrete.

But... multiple snakes in the same cage! Blasphemy! Jk man, awesome snakes and cage, I tried to build a similar setup for a snake a few years back but it was nowhere as nice lol

Looks great, Krok! Makes me wanna give this a try for my C.M. Molossus as well.

What size is your cage? Also do you have a link/'s you'd be willing to share for the materials you used? I think I want to do this for the cage I'm setting up for my future C.M. Pyrrhus.

Ha, I was about to go into the cohabitation speech. Thanks, I was kinda weary about the construction when it was still foam but wasn't too shabby.

Grade, I didn't really follow anyone else's info on what to do. I just had the idea for awhile since the blacktail kept roosting on the log hide and I felt bad for him. I went to lowes to get some light bulbs and saw this 1" purplish foam for 5 bucks for a 2x2'. I bought two and used about 1.5 of it. Once I started to put the concrete patch over it, it started to come together. Then I painted it with textured spray paint to get some depth to it. I didn't seal since moisture wasn't an issue. The pattern I just put together while between rounds of Call of Duty.

Just get some foam and get creative. I would sand the two sheets first to get some grip for the concrete before cutting it. Toothpicks to hold the structure, or hot glue and give it a go. Just think about what you want and go from there.
