Leopard Gecko Question

Hey, so long time no post Today I saw my female leopard gecko Rango licking her anal (not sure if this is the correct word) region after she defecated, I'm gonna assume it was to regain some of the nutrients that she may have lost in the excretment? I've seen the other female do this too. Has anyone else witnessed this. My one idea is that most leopard geckos are kept on tile or some other pointless substrate so I can safely guess that she is cleaning that region from any sand/dirt that may have stuck.20160527_142935.jpg

Re: Leopard Gecko Question

No idea sir! Your deduction sounds very plausible though.

Re: Leopard Gecko Question

I've witnessed this with mine too, I even popped them down to the vet to be certain and no problems, seems to be a cleaning behaviour or similar as you've deduced.
